The Solvoz website has a new look!
After a new name and logo for the foundation earlier this year, we are proud to present you our new Solvoz website. The update was something that had been a long time coming and it is finally here! In this article you will read more about the journey from prototype to the website it is today, as well as everything in between.
What is Solvoz?
Solvoz is the responsible procurement platform for organisations, operational in low and middle income countries (LMICs). Firstly, Solvoz supports NGOs, hospitals, foundations, charities, and others with an open-access catalogue. This provides organisations with expert knowledge and responsible solutions packages, based on the needs of a user in a context.
Secondly, the catalogue is integrated with a procurement workflow, with which you can request quotation or send out a tender. The platform connects buyers with suppliers. It enables organisations to match solutions with their needs, which they can then procure at the right price; faster than they are used to.
Solvoz prototype
Solvoz received a grant by the Philips Foundation to start building a prototype in October 2019. The focus of this prototype was centered on solution-based thinking. After identifying your need, you have to think beyond the idea of a single product as a solution. With Solvoz you are prompted to think of all the criteria, components and possible services associated to the solution. Furthermore, the focus been on fair pricing, localisation and a product’s life cycle. Solvoz was to become a place where professionals could share their knowledge freely. On March 20th in 2020, Solvoz launched the prototype.
The Solvoz catalogue
We started working on an upgrade for the catalogue at the beginning of the year 2021. Firstly, our home page now better explains our vision and mission, and it also helps you navigate through our website more easily. Secondly, there is the catalogue itself. It has a fresh new look that is not only more pleasing to the eye, but the new user flow makes you move through the platform more smoothly.
The procurement platform
The Solvoz procurement workflow and platform is integrated with our partner Vortal. With over 340.000 suppliers, they offer an amazing range for our platform users. The platform is monitored closely, and updates are being carried out based on the user experience.
